MegaRide won the IMSA (Italian Master Startup Award) as the best technology transfer project in Italy of 2020. The company, focused on solutions that optimize the performance of cars and motorbikes, was awarded with the Italian Master Startup Award, one of the most important Italian awards for innovative companies.

Spin-off of the Federico II Department of Industrial Engineering, incubated in Campania New Steel, MegaRide won the challenge, this year organized by the University of Verona, competing with hundreds of other young companies coming from the StartCup paths of all Italian regions, and then selected through next steps by startup experts from the world of finance, industry and academia. The selection process resulted in ten finalists who "challenged" each other in terms of presentations, business plans and economic results.

The MegaRide business model and the results achieved in just 4 years guided the final judgment of the jury, for which the company, born in the Federician Department, was successful for the technological solutions developed for both motorsport and road vehicles, able to penetrate the international automotive market. Among the car and motorcycle manufacturers that adopt MeraRide software on the track and on the road, especially for indoor and outdoor testing, there are Ferrari, Maserati, Ducati, just to mention those of Motorvalley, as well as numerous motorsport teams in different categories, from Moto GP to Formula E.

"The IMSA award is at the culmination of a path started with local startcups (regional startup competition, which MegaRide won in 2016), followed by the National Innovation Award, for which the delegates at our university are professors Rippa and Raffa. - comment the founders of the company Flavio Farroni, Francesco Timpone and Aleksandr Sakhnevych - We received the notice of the victory, communicated live on the web during the award ceremony on 25 September, with great satisfaction, for us, for the team and for Federico II, who supported us during these 4 years of experience. "

As a finalist, MegaRide will be hosted (in attendance) at the Festival del Futuro to be held at the Verona Fair from 19 to 21 November 2020.
