Training activities - Cycles from 33 to 36

The training activites of the PhD programme in Industrial Engineering:

  • Specific courses of the doctorate (both specialized and interdisciplinary) offered by the Academic Board of the doctorate and of the Department of Industrial Engineering (see Table A). The frequency of these courses is established according to the needs of the doctorate. Once a course is activated, it is added to the calendar available in the website of the Department of Industrial Engineering in the PhD section
  • Courses and seminars held by foreign professors/researchers or from other universities, and qualified representatives of industries and research bodies. These courses are provided on an occasional basis, based on the availability of the professors/researchers. A calendar will be published an in the website of the Department of Industrial Engineering in the PhD section. Table B shows a list of courses and seminars held in previous PhD cycles which can be re-proposed if necessary as well as courses and seminars still to be defined.
  • Courses on request. These may be:
    1. courses available in the Master's degrees included in the Department of Industrial Engineering;
    2. courses available in Master's degrees or other doctoral courses of the University of Naples Federico II or other universities;
    3. courses available at foreign institutions during the training period spent abroad. These courses can be included in the student's educational plan once PhD student has discussed with tutor and Advisory Board, to verufy that it was not included in the list of exams already included in the PhD student career (bachelor and master).
  • Courses shared with other PhD programmess from the Polytechnic and Basic Sciences School, with particular reference to Linguistics, Computer Science, Management of the search for knowledge of research systems and funding systems, and for the enhancement of research results and intellectual property (categories defined in art. 4, paragraph 1, letter F of Ministerial Decree 45/2013 - Guidelines for the Accreditation of Doctoral Courses).

The credits of the training and seminar activities will be acquired by attending courses and seminars chosen by the PhD student, in agreement with the relative Tutor, and passing the final verification, where applicable.
